Candy Pilar Godoy has traveled to over 40 countries, speaks three languages, and built a career blending cultural insight with canine charm. A former digital producer for National Geographic, she went freelance to write the beloved pet travel blog boogiethepug.com and manage the career of her Instagram-famous dog of the same name. Today, she’s the founder of the Dogs of NYC and A History of Dogs universes and is currently at work on her first book, A HISTORY OF DOGS: A Super Subjective, Highly Curated Exploration of Tails Through the Ages.
A native New Yorker, she lives in Hell's Kitchen with a rescue dog, a Brazilian street cat, her partner, and two human babies.
